I think Mat’s words below best describe what this shoot was about. Like me, he loves two-wheeled sports and we had a lot to talk about…maybe next time it’s Mat on his dirt bike or dual sport?
“I really love this bike. It’s a 2003 Harley Davidson Fat Boy (100th Anniversary Edition). In addition to it’s overall tough & meaty look, I like the clean side-view (no visible shocks) of the soft tail models…and more specifically the Fat Boy model of the soft tail. It’s definitely a cruiser versus a speed/performance machine. Very comfortable for both long and short distances alike, but with plenty of power (lots of torque) to satisfy my needs.
Most everything is stock except for a handful of minor modifications and updates to slightly bump up performance, as well as enhance the look of the bike to my liking. For performance, I had a Stage 1 modification done (pipes, high-flow air intake filter, & re-Mapping of the fuel-injected air/fuel ratio). For looks, I’ve installed a chrome front-end & nacelle headlight fixture, custom seat, smoked taillight & directional, and some super-cool, super-tall 18” “Ape-Hanger” handlebars.
I don’t think I could ever bear to sell or trade my HD Fat Boy…I believe I’ll have it until I’m no longer able to jump on it and ride.”
